Two Wrasslin’ Cats is a cute cat-themed coffee shop in East Haddam. This coffee shop has great food and drinks with a great atmosphere. The best part? There are actual cats you can hangout with there!

Birdhouse Coffee

Boasting a modern look, Birdhouse Coffee in South Windsor is a great place to relax with friends and family. As the name suggests, you’ll find a lot of bird-related items and decor throughout the coffee shop. And of course, they have delicious coffee!

Ashlawn Farm Coffee

Ashlawn Coffee in Old Saybrook is a must-visit for coffee lovers looking for a cozy, community-focused spot. In addition to great coffee and a great atmosphere, they have delicious baked goods. My favorite is the cinnamon bun.

Chubby Dog Coffee Co.

Chubby Dog Coffee Co. is a unique coffee shop to visit in Putnam. When I first visited this coffee shop, I not only loved the name, but I also loved the fact that they have a game room filled with vintage video games. It was nostalgic! This shop is a great spot to hangout and drink some great coffee.

CREAM Coffee Shop

CREAM Coffee is located in the heart of downtown Norwich. This coffee shop is so cute and of course they have awesome coffee! This coffee shop is unique in the fact that it offers various homemade whipped cream flavors to add to your drink!

Walnut Beach Coffee House

Walnut Beach Coffee house in Milford is a cute spot to grab coffee or breakfast by the beach! They’ve got great sandwiches, pastries, coffee, and tea. The vibe is laid back inside and it’s a great spot to grab a bite with friends or catch up on some work.

Essex Coffee and Tea Company

This coffee shop is located in the historic Essex Village. It’s a small, independently owned coffee and tea shop that offers gourmet coffee, organic loose leaf tea, and delicious fresh baked goods, including allergen free desserts. There’s also local art on display throughout the coffee shop, which I love!

Toast & Co.

Toast & Co. is a coffee house that specializes in coffee and lattes. However, they’re also a cafe that offers some delicious food. The location is great too, being a short distance from the Litchfield Historic District.

Macondo Specialty coffee House

Macaondo is a speciality coffee house located in Stonington. They have great coffee as well as delicious bagels and other baked goods. It’s a great spot to grab a coffee and it’s located very close to historic Stonington Borough.

Cafe Sol

Located in downtown Niantic, Cafe Sol offers great craft coffees. They focus on using organic and local ingredients in both their drinks and their food. It’s a cute spot to grab a drink and bite to eat!

Shop Two Coffee

This spot in Marlborough roasts their coffee in-house. In addition to having great coffee, their bagels are made from scratch and honestly they’re delicious. They hand roll them and bake them fresh each morning. In addition to having fresh food and coffee, the vibe in this spot is so cute and cozy.

  1. We are big coffee drinkers and always research the best coffee shops before we visit a place. This was a good list to start any visit to Connecticut. I love the variety in the coffee shops you found. Great when you can find good foods spots too!
