There are a couple of fun things to do while you’re at this beautiful New England farm! There’s something for the whole family to enjoy!
The Lavender Fields
Take a stroll through the lavender fields! Enjoy the smell of lavender as you enjoy the views of rows and rows of flowers. As you walk through, you’ll see lots of bees on the flowers and even some butterflies!
The fields also make a great place to take photos! This is a very popular spot to take portraits in Connecticut. It gets pretty busy during peak bloom, so be sure to get there early if you’re trying to take photos!
Another cool feature of the farm are the games you can play! There is a giant game of chess, a giant connect four, and corn hole! The games can be found as you walk through the fields where the lavender flowers are. They’re a lot of fun to play!
Ride The Lavender Pond Farm Express
Take a ride around the farm on the Lavender Pond Farm Express. The LPF Express takes you on a 20 minute tour around the farm.
During the tour, you’ll learn how the lavender farm came to be. Additionally, you’ll learn about what they do as well as some of the interesting features of the property!
Walk The Foot Paths
Enjoy a short nature walk! The property has a couple of foot paths you can walk. One of the paths takes you around a beautiful pond with a fountain in the center. This pond is another great photo spot at the farm!
The path takes you across a beautiful wooden covered bridge. Once you cross the bridge, you’ll come to the backside of the large pond and there are a bunch of interesting fairy gardens to look at!
Lavender Pond Farm Gift Shop
The farm also has a small gift shop! It might be a small shop, but it’s filled with so many cool items to buy!
Many of which are of course made with lavender! From lavender plants, lotions, lavender filled pillows, soaps, tea, syrups, and lavender lemonade. It’s a lavender lovers dream!
Best Time To Go
June and July are when the lavender is in bloom. The farm is open seven days a week from 10am-4pm! If you’re looking to avoid crowds, be sure to get to the farm closer to 10am!
