La Llorona Progressive Mexican Cuisine

La Llorona Progressive Mexican Cuisine is a great spot to grab a bite to eat and drinks. My go-to are street tacos, but there are honestly so many good things on the menu. I’d also highly recommend getting a flight of margaritas! They have both indoor and outdoor seating available.
374 Kitchen + Cocktails

374 is located on Niantic’s Main Street. This restaurant blends new wave style with old school comforts. I’ve had a lot of different bites here from soups, apps, pasta dishes, and even grilled cheese from their late night menu! You can’t go wrong with anything here.
GG At Home Niantic

GG at Home is a great spot to grab breakfast, lunch, or brunch. They offer cocktails, coffee, breakfast items, pastries, and salads. They’ve got indoor and outdoor seating. Vincitori Apizza

This is a great spot to get delicious Apizza without dealing with the hustle and bustle of New Haven. They’ve also got some great salads and focaccia bread on the menu. The inside of the restaurant isn’t large, but you can always grab takeout and enjoy it at one of the beaches nearby.
La Belle Aurore

La Belle Aurore is a farm to table restaurant in Niantic. Because of this, the menus change as the seasons change. They offer brunch, dinner, and snacks. The food is fresh and delicious. I also love that this spot supports so many local farms.
Cafe Sol

Cafe Sol offers great craft coffees. They focus on using organic and local ingredients in both their drinks and their food. It’s a cute spot to grab a drink and bite to eat!
Castello of Niantic

Castello is an Italian restaurant with indoor seating and a patio. They serve pasta dishes, seafood entrees, salads, pizzas, and cocktails. I really like the Tuscan Chicken pasta dish and their bread rolls.
Black Point Market

Black Point Market is tucked away in the coastal neighborhood of Black Point. They serve up some seriously good sandwiches for both breakfast and lunch. Additionally, they have ice cream and baked goods if you’re looking for something sweet. It should be noted that this spot is seasonal.
Dad’s Restaurant

In 2025, this local favorite was remodeled and reopened under new ownership. This spot serves up locally seafood and other bites. In addition to food, they also have ice cream on the menu! They have both indoor and outdoor seating that offers views of Niantic Bay. It should be noted that this spot is seasonal.
Sift Bake Shop

Sift Bake Shop is a bakery that’s known for its artisan pastries, cakes, and breads made with high-quality ingredients. The shop offers a great selection of freshly baked treats, including croissants, cookies, and specialty items, all crafted with a focus on flavor and craftsmanship. Sift Bake Shop has become a favorite local spot for anyone craving sweet and savory baked goods. Oh, and did I mention it’s owned by Adam Young who won Food Network’s Best Baker in America in 2017?
Gumdrops & Lollipops

If you’re looking for a sweet treat, check out this ice cream spot that’s located in the heart of downtown. It’s a cute candy shop and ice cream shop located at the entrance to one end of the Niantic Bay Boardwalk. You can enjoy your ice cream inside the shop, on their back deck, or enjoy it at one of the benches along the boardwalk.
