Looking for good beer, food, and atmosphere in the heart of Saranac Lake? Look no further than RiverTrail Beerworks. Saranac Lake’s only riverside brewpub offers ample outdoor seating, welcoming bar setup, as well as plenty of space for sit down dinners after a long day of hiking or skiing in the Adirondacks. You can also continue the play with their offering of pool tables and golf simulators.

Sit back and fuel up at the third oldest brewery in the Adirondacks. Family friendly, they offer a variety of beer and food options for everyone from shareables to mains. It was interesting to see a NY brewery partnering with the Boston Red Sox. A familiar team as a native New Englander! The Mckenzie Red hit the spot on a cool fall day.

Nestled in downtown Lake Placid, Raquette River Brewing offers a tasting room to sample their beer in the Alpine Mall. You can get their merchandise, cute magnets, and beer to go with some friendly staff who were helpful in helping pick out a good beer to try. Next time I am in the Adirondacks I will have to swing by their main brewery in Tupper Lake!

Located at the northwestern edge of Adirondack Park, this brewery is quaint and cozy. It’s conveniently located off of Route 11B in Dickinson Center. The brewery is owned by a local couple and open every day! Enjoy the surrounding stillness of the mountains with some great beers, cocktails, and mocktails! Jan definitely puts a lot of time into the mocktails as my sister can attest!

Conveniently located off of I-87, this brewery offers amazing views of the Adirondacks, great food, and excellent beer. If you have a NY Hop Passport like me, you can enjoy your BOGO here so be sure to bring a friend to share the experience. This Veteran owned brewery is also kid-friendly so bring the family along for a good time.

Enjoy a Finger Lakes brewed beer in the beauty of Lake Placid. The taproom is located in the heart of Lake Placid and it’s open seven days a week to enjoy Prison City beer, guest wine and cider, and snacks. Their Pumpkin Escobar hit the spot and was a great blend of fall notes coupled with a winter style port. It got me in the mood for the local Stoutfest near me in CT!

Big Slide Brewery & Public House

In the mood to sample ten beers on tap? Looking for a dog-friendly space to let your furry friend roam? Or a good mix of food? Stop by Big Slide Brewing, which is located in Lake Placid next to the airport and Olympic Ski Jumping complex. I’ve driven through the heart of the Adirondacks many times and never noticed the big ski jump until stopping by the brewpub!

The Boat Tasting Room

Enjoy Wood Boat Brewery’s Lake Placid taproom ‘The Boat’ if you are in the Lake Placid area. Although the taproom is small, you will quickly notice that the bar is a boat. They offer a variety of their own beers plus guest wines and liquors. Given a visit in the fall, I had to get a yam beer. Their Pumpkin Ale did not disappoint and is one of my top rated beers on Untapped.

Bolton Landing Brewing

At the southeastern edge of the Adirondacks, Bolton Landing Brewing Company offers Lake George views at an Adirondack pace. They have a wide selection of beer and food on tap. Plus, if you have a NY Hop Passport like me you can redeem your buy on get one. They recently joined the digital trail and should be showing up in the physical book. Be sure to bring a friend along to share a beer!

Ray Brook Brewhouse

If you are passing through the Adirondacks between Lake Placid and Saranac Lake, be sure to stop by Ray Brook for a welcoming atmosphere, good beer, and good food. Their Moon On the Lake IPA hit the spot after traveling and hiking all day. Enjoy their outdoor seating to take in the fresh air and beauty of the Adirondacks.
