Gardner Lake
Gardner Lake is a large lake to visit in southeastern Connecticut. It can be accessed from Salem or Bozrah. Rogers Lake

Lake Pocotopaug
Lake Pocotopaug in East Hampton is one of the largest inland bodies of water in Connecticut. This is a popular lake for boating and if you’re just looking to enjoy the views, there’s a walking path along much of the lake. You can also dine at Lakeside Bar & Grill and enjoy lake views. For a unique experience, you can stay in a cabin on one of the islands on the lake that are only accessible by boat.

Candlewood Lake
Candlewood Lake is the largest lake in Connecticut and is located in western Fairfield and Litchfield counties. It’s not a natural lake as it was humanmade. And a not-so-fun fact: The remnants of a small 1920s farming village named Jerusalem sit under the lake.
