If you’re coming from the North, it still makes sense to take I-95. You won’t need to go to I-295. Instead, you’ll get off on to Route 27 in Augusta, Maine. This will take you straight into Boothbay where the gardens are.

You can spend the whole day at this garden. But, it depends on what you’re trying to see how long you’ll need to plan for. If you’re looking to see the trolls for example, it could take 2.5-3 hours. Keep in mind there are a lot of interactive things in the gardens that will take time to truly go through.
Yes. There are electric scooters to rent on a first-come, first-served basis. To rent these, you’ll have to go to the front desk at the Visitor Center. There are also wheelchairs available for free on a first-come, first-served basis. If you’re looking to enjoy the gardens without a lot of walking, the Accessible Cart tours are also a great option. The carts can accommodate five people. These are available from May through October.
