DAILY LIFE TRAVELS
Looking to see a stunning New England waterfall that doesn't involve a long hike? Moss Glen Falls is a must see waterfall that's located in Stowe, Vermont. This 85 foot waterfall is the tallest waterfall in Vermont!
This stunning waterfall is located just five minutes from the historic village of Stowe. The parking lot and trail head for the falls is located a half mile into Moss Glen Falls Road. It is free to park and access the trail.
The best part about this waterfall is it's a short, easy hike to the falls! The trail begins by taking you through some wetlands along a stream on a nice boardwalk. As I walked along, I saw plenty of plants and some evidence of beavers, which are extremely common in Vermont.
Once you get past this part, you'll be able to actually walk along the brook. From this spot, you'll be able to catch a glimpse of the bottom of the falls going into the brook below.
The first viewing point gives you the best view of the waterfall straight on. There is a rope for safety because the slippery rocks along the edge are a safety hazard.
You can continue up a trail that goes along the gorge past this particular viewing point. As you continue to climb up, you'll get different views of the waterfall from the side.
Moss Glen Falls Stowe is one of Vermont's waterfalls that you definitely shouldn't skip on your next visit. This breath-taking waterfall is worth the visit because it's the tallest waterfall in Vermont and because it's so accessible!
