Mason’s Brewing Company has both indoor and outdoor seating available. When we went, we sat outside because my sister had her German Shepherd puppy with her. The outdoor atmosphere is perfect for those looking for a casual dinner!

Sitting outside, you get absolutely beautiful views of the Penobscot River while you drink and dine. Plus, the outdoor area is dog friendly! Just beware, make sure your dog is well behaved and good around other dogs.

Drinks

With over 20 beers on tap, there is a huge selection of beer to pair with your meal! Mason’s has more options of local beers than many other breweries near Brewer! Plus, their beer releases always feature a unique taste that are hard to find near me.

My first choice for beer would be the Liquid Rapture. An imperial/double IPA, this beer features the taste of citrus is delicious on hot summer nights.

Another beer we enjoyed was their Hipster Mutation: Citra. This is a fun beer to have on a late summer night! Keep an eye out for their other ‘Hipster Mutation’ releases!

One thing I loved about this brewing company was the great service and knowledge of the beer list! Don’t be too shy to ask your server what they recommend! They helped guide my wife to get something that was perfect for her palette.

Be sure to visit their Facebook and other social media for the latest beer releases! Their menu is constantly evolving as new beers get released.

Food

There were so many great options on the menu, that I wished I came with a bigger appetite! As with the drinks, the service was was great and our server gave us some excellent food suggestions for appetizers.

Appetizers

One appetizer that our server suggested was the pretzel spread. This spread was a unique combination of meats, cheeses, and vegetables. I will be the first to say that it did not last very long on the table! Be sure to ask for a second serving of honey butter to go with your pretzel spread!

The pretzel spread did not disappoint!

If pretzel spreads aren’t your thing for snacking, be sure to try some ‘Dirty Fries’ or ‘Brew Haus Frites’. Their fresh cut fries served with various cheeses and sauces will not disappoint!

I was eyeing a neighboring table who got some of the Brew Haus Frites! They reminded me of the appetizer I like to get at Jealous Monk in Mystic back home.

Mason’s Brewing Pizzas

One of the things Mason’s Brewing Company is known for is its unique pizza options! The pie flavors are not your typical pizzas, and they have cool names to go along with them. Some of the awesome, unique pie flavors are:

  • Buffalo The Vampire Slayer: This pie features black garlic, Alfredo, pepperoni, buffalo chicken, roasted garlic, and hot honey. The garlic is sure to keep all of the vampires away.
  • The Dad Joke: This pie features fresh mozzarella, provolone, smoked gouda, parmesan, and herbs. It is of course very cheesy, just like all of the best dad jokes. As the husband/dad of the table…I was guilted into getting it (and it was absolutely awesome)! Although, I guess my sister’s boyfriend counts as a ‘dog dad’!
  • Who Wants To Live Forever?: This pie features mac and cheese, hot dog, shaved parmesan, and red pepper flakes on a Sriracha base. The pizza was unique, and tasty!

This pie is the “Once Upon A Time In The West” and it was delicious!

You can make your own pizza if you don’t see any pizzas that catch your interest on the menu. There are various options and combinations you can go with so you can make your own unique pizza catered to you. They give you six different sauce options, seven different cheese options, ten different meat options, and fourteen different toppings to choose from.

Burgers

There is a wide variety of other food that you can choose if pizza isn’t your thing! The menu features a wide array of burgers! If I go again, I will definitely have to ‘build your own burger patty’. I might have to do some serious reflection to make sure I iron out my choices!

If building your own burger gives you anxiety, why not try one of their other eight burger options? Just as their beers come with unique names, so do their burger names! Plus, all of their burgers are made from locally sourced beef.

I will definitely have to try their ‘Glorious 40’s Melt’ when I go back. A chopped burger patty with with grilled onions and house burger sauce on a grilled white bread sounds scrumptious! Might also help soak up the alcohol!
