The Oregon coast really is magical, nothing like the shoreline we have here in Connecticut LOL. I really want to explore more of the Oregon coast in the future.

I love Sheringham Point Lighthouse too. I also had fun with the hydrophone there – listening to underwater sounds as part of the marine mammal program!

I’m totally with you, I think so far Oregon is one of my favorite states I’ve visited! I’ve been a handful of times and I always find myself wanting to go back.

I love it when there is a pretty walk to a lighthouse and the trail leading to Heceta Head Lighthouse looks lovely – as does that beeeautiful beach!

We recently visited an old lighthouse on Vancouver Island that had been refurbished – it had a similar lens to the one you can see at Heceta Head, but it was down at ground level so you could climb inside and see how the lens worked – it was sooo cool! I have a feeling you’d love that one too. It was called Sheringham Point Lighthouse if you ever come up to BC.
