Getting There
This American restaurant is forty minutes from where I live, but the delicious breakfast always makes the trip worth it. The easiest way to get to this restaurant is to take I-395. You’ll want to take Exit 37 towards Danielson and Brooklyn. The exit will take you on to Route 6. The restaurant is just a couple miles off of 6.

Country View is very much located in the country. They’re not kidding when they say it’s a country view at this restaurant. You’ll be able to see some beautiful rolling hills while you dine in. This restaurant is really a hidden gem. It’s not right in your face like many of the businesses that line Route 6. We only found out about this restaurant because of my boyfriend’s coworkers!
Breakfast at Country View Restaurant
Country View is the kind of restaurant that you have to keep going back to again and again. Not only is the food great, but they have so many different items on the menu. I get something different every time I go because there are so many things that I want to try on their menu!
Pancakes
One thing Country View is known for is their huge pancakes. And when they say huge, it’s not just an exaggeration. They truly are huge pancakes, like almost terrifyingly huge. If you’re going to order a pancake, you’re going to want to share it!
There are eight different pancake flavors, ranging from plain, blueberry, chocolate chip, cinnamon sugar, banana walnut, and strawberries and cream. Every pancake is fluffy and delicious.
The most notable on the menu though is the Cookie Monster. This pancake has pieces of broken up cookies baked into it and it’s topped with whipped cream, sprinkles, and two mini Oreos. It even looks like Cookie Monster!
Country View Crepes
Another great option on the menu are the crepes. They have a variety of flavors to choose from, ranging from plain, strawberry, blueberry, apple crisp, homemade maple bread pudding, and strawberry shortcake. Each crepe is topped with powdered sugar, but you can also add whipped cream!
French Toast
Much like the other sections on the menu, there are various French Toast options on the menu. If you’re just looking for a traditional French Toast, order the Country View French Toast. This is a slice sliced cinnamon French Toast with powdered sugar. A true classic.
If you’re looking for something a bit more exciting, they have other options on the menu. One option is the Maple Bread French Toast. This is four slices of Maple Bread French Toast topped with both cinnamon sugar and powdered sugar.
The other option you have is the Banana Bread French Toast. This unique French Toast is made with homemade banana bread that’s super delicious. They top this off with banana, powdered sugar, and whipped cream. It’s a delicious and sweet breakfast choice!
Belgian Waffles
What’s a breakfast restaurant without Belgian Waffles? Country View offers a couple of flavors on the menu. The flavors are plain, blueberry, strawberry, and apple crisp. Each of these waffles are topped with powdered sugar and you have the option to add whipped cream!
Country View Omelets
Another thing this restaurant is known for is it’s omelets. There are over twenty different omelets to choose from. They of course have the classics such as the Western, vegetable, Greek, and cheese.
But, they also have a ton of unique options to choose from. Some of the more interesting omelets on the menu are Philly Cheese Steak, Turkey Feast, Country Corned Beef, Macaroni and Cheese, Buffalo Chicken, Loaded Mashed Potato, and Piggy Mac and Cheese.
While I’m known to get a Western Omelet every time I go out for breakfast, I have tried various items on the menu. Some of my favorites have been the Country Corned Beef, the Loaded Mashed Potato, and the Macaroni and Cheese. But, you really can’t go wrong with any of them!
All of the omelets are served with seasoned home fries and your choice of toast. The toast options include white, wheat, marble rye, and raisin. You can also add veggies to your omelets and swap out the cheese for an additional cost.
Country View Breakfast Specials
There are various delicious breakfast specials to choose from. If you’re looking to get a taste of a little bit of everything, I’d recommend getting the Country View Platter. This comes with two eggs, toast, home fries, two slices of bacon, one sausage patty, and a huge pancake.
Other notable specials on the menu are the Loaded Potato Pancake and the Corned Beef Hash wrap. The Loaded Potato Pancake is pretty much like a loaded potato in pancake form. The Corned Beef Hash Wrap is a large tortilla wrap filled with grilled corned beef hash, scrambled eggs and cheese.
Country View Eggs Benedict
You’d think this would be very straight forward, but Country View Restaurant offers various ways to get Eggs Benedict. Some of the options are Greek, corned beef hash, Philly steak, crab cake, and loaded mashed potato, just to name a few. All options are served over toasted English Muffin, topped with two poached eggs, and a delicious hollandaise sauce.
Country View Eggs, Toast, and Home Fries
If all else fails, you can always go the eggs, toast, and home fries route. You can get one, two, or three eggs made to your liking. Whether you want scrambled eggs, poached eggs, or fried eggs, they’ll cook your eggs to perfection.
Each order of eggs comes with your choice of toast and your choice of potato. For toast, your options are white, wheat, marble rye, and raisin. If none of these interest you, you can also request a bagel, an English muffin, or even gluten free toast. For potatoes, you can either get home fries or hash browns.
Lunch Options
If you thought this was just a breakfast place, you’re mistaken! While they are known for their breakfast, they also serve lunch! But, their lunch menu is significantly smaller than their breakfast menu.
One option is to get a classic sandwich. Some of the options on the menu include a pulled pork sandwich, a Philly Cheesesteak, a grilled chicken sandwich, a Pulled Pork Slaw Sandwich, a Texas Tuna Melt, and a Corned Beef Reuben.
They also offer a handful of burgers on the menu. Their burger options include a classic cheeseburger, a bacon cheeseburger, a mushroom Swiss burger, a black and bleu burger, and a mac and cheeseburger.
They also offer delicious grilled cheese sandwiches! Some of the options you have are ham, bacon & turkey, and a tuna melt. Of course, you can also get a classic grilled cheese. All grilled cheeses are made with American cheese. Your bread options are white, wheat, or marbled rye.
What Makes This Restaurant Unique
One of the things that makes this restaurant unique is it has a driving range! How many restaurants have a driving range?! The driving range is open year-round. You can grab a bite and then test your driving skills!
Another thing that makes this restaurant unique is the fact that there are various places to wait with games! It’s not unusual for this restaurant to be packed and have a wait if you go on the weekend. It’s great that they have things to entertain you while you wait!
Lastly, the wide variety of options on the menu and the huge portions make this small town restaurant unique! There’s truly something for everyone on the menu.
