Honestly, I feel like lighthouses and islands go hand in hand. These New England island lighthouses are all so picturesque. The Block Island North Lighthouse in particular is sooo charming with that greenery and walkway up to it. That one is definitely going on my New England bucketlist!

Learning about the history behind these important coastal landmarks would be interesting, and the drive along the coastline visiting these lighthouses would be an enjoyable experience in itself.

This definitely gave me a few new places to add to my list! I really appreciated that this wasn't just another roundup of the "famous" lighthouses. There's something special about the quieter ones... i really relish places that still feel like they're part of the landscape rather than just another photo stop

I’m in love with lighthouses, but I also love that there were so many different types of birds. I’d definitely visit for the day so I could spend time at the beach.
