The views from Whiteface mountain are beautiful, you can see the fall colors. However if I would be going on a drive with seeing fall colors in mind, I would indeed sooner do Saranac Lake.

Whiteface mountain in Adirondacks sounds like a lovely place to visit especially in the fall! Yes, fall foliage colors will be more visible in lower elevation than higher where it is actually too cold. I am adding Whiteface mountain to my bucket list. Lake Placid and Lake Saranac might be good bases in the fall.

Whiteface Mountain must be beautiful in the fall! I’d love to drive the Veterans’ Memorial Highway and see all those autumn colors across the Adirondacks. It sounds like a great stop on a fall road trip, especially with Lake Placid so close by.

Definitely a fun list for spooky-season exploring! Old New-Gate Prison and Copper Mine sounds especially fascinating with its dark history and underground tunnels, while Seaside Sanatorium has such an eerie setting by the coast. I can see why you’d add both to Connecticut’s Haunted History Trail.

I had no idea there were so many haunted places in Connecticut. It sounds like a lot of interesting history to be found there. Even if they aren’t haunted, some of those buildings definitely give off an eerie vibe!
