It is definitely an interesting place to visit!! I didn’t realize the park was run by both countries until I went there even though the name of the park literally has the word “international” in it lol.

I’d also been to Maine a lot, but that’s the first time I ever went that far north. I usually hangout in southern Maine because it’s closer to home. But, it’s definitely worth the trip out there to go to the easternmost town in the U.S. and see West Quoddy Head Light!

It is a gorgeous area to kayak, hike, and bike. We have fortunate to see whales many times when we’ve paddled there. We also love biking over to Campello Island to see FDR‘s summer home. I am glad you had a wonderful trip there.

I had no idea that there was a border crossing from Lubec to Campobello Island. Nor did I know that there was a jointly owned park on the island.
